Yancoskie Coronal Lift Retractor, 229 mm – 150 mm, 6 Offset Prongs

Offset prongs distinguish this from the abdominoplasty pattern, which sets its six prongs in a single row. Staggering them means each prong engages a slightly different line of tissue, so the hold spreads across a band rather than along one edge — which suits a scalp flap being lifted as a sheet rather than a wound edge being held flat.

229 mm is longer than the abdominal version despite a similar width, because a coronal lift is raised from an incision behind the hairline and the flap is drawn forward over a considerable distance. The extra reach keeps the surgeon’s hand well clear of the dissection plane while the prongs hold the flap at its leading edge.
