Solution Bowl, 6 cm – 0.06 L, J2 German Stainless

60 millilitres is a deliberately small volume. Much of what a bowl holds on a sterile field is used in small quantities — marking solution, a local anaesthetic draw, a few instruments set aside — and a large bowl holding that amount spreads it into a shallow film that evaporates and is awkward to draw from. A bowl matched to the volume keeps the contents deep enough to use.

The small footprint is the other half. Sterile field space is limited and every item on it competes for room with the instruments in use; a 6 cm bowl takes almost none. J2 stainless is a harder grade that holds its polish through repeated sterilisation, which matters on a container whose interior surface has to shed solution completely rather than retain a residue.
