The 0.8 × 4.0 mm jaw dimensions provide a working bite: 0.8 mm width keeps the footprint minimal in the canal, while 4.0 mm length gives enough jaw surface for a secure grip on tissue, packing and small foreign bodies.
At 8 cm overall length the forceps operates at the standard micro working distance. The spring return is tuned for the lighter shaft mass, so jaw opening is responsive without excess recoil.
