The Plester Suction Tube adds a stylet to the standard suction-with-finger-control formula. The stylet fills the bore during insertion, so the tube can be threaded through a narrow canal or past a fragile structure without the suction mouth catching on tissue along the way. Once in position the stylet is withdrawn and suction begins.
At 13 cm the instrument sits between the short micro ear range and the longer nasal range, covering procedures where the working depth exceeds what a 7–9 cm tube reaches but does not require 18 cm+. Finger-vent control is the same as on other Wullstein-type handles: cover for full vacuum, release for zero.
