The Ferriera Style Fiber Optic Retractors from NJ Medical Instruments bring cold fiber optic light to the tip of a concave retractor blade, improving tissue exposure in plastic, specialty and general surgical procedures. The concave blade ends in a curved-down rounded tip for smooth retraction of soft tissue.
The modular design uses a removable 5 mm fiber optic light carrier, so the lighting component can be detached for cleaning and servicing. The flat, low-profile carrier runs along the blade, the polished blade tip reflects light into the surgical field, and the handle is gold-plated stainless steel.
Every blade size is offered with or without an integrated suction tube, so buyers can choose fiber optic illumination alone or illumination with suction to clear smoke and fluid from the field.
With 15 blade sizes from 14 mm × 7 cm to 30 mm × 23 cm, the range covers short, narrow blades through to long, wide blades, and custom blade sizes are available on request.
