That length covers the working distance for transnasal approaches, oropharyngeal work and anterior skull-base procedures where the surgeon operates through a natural opening rather than through an open incision.
The tube is stainless steel throughout, with a smooth bore that resists clogging and wipes clean between cases. The proximal end connects to standard suction tubing via a friction-fit or luer adapter.
