Piriform Rim Retractor, 17 cm – Stainless Steel

The piriform rim is a bone edge, and a retractor working there is located by that edge rather than by pressure on tissue. Once the blade is seated on the rim it stays put, which is what lets the surgeon keep both the nasal soft tissue and the operative view stable while working on the bone behind it.

17 cm suits the approach, which is shallower than the mandibular and ramus exposures but deeper than the chin. The retractor is often in place while osteotomies are cut around the aperture in Le Fort and rhinoplasty work, so it has to hold position under vibration without the blade walking along the rim.
