Fanous Dorsal Scissors, 14 cm – Supercut Serrated, Tungsten Carbide

The nasal dorsum is the ridge the whole result is judged on — skin over it is thin, and any irregularity underneath shows through. Work there has to divide tissue cleanly rather than crush or tear it, which is what a Supercut edge does: it slices rather than shears, leaving an edge that heals flat.

Carbide inserts keep that razor edge through the repeated sterilisation an instrument in regular use goes through. Serrations on the lower blade hold the soft tissue envelope, which is mobile and would otherwise slide ahead of the blades. At 14 cm the scissors reach the dorsum with the fingers controlling them rather than the wrist.
