D’Assumpcao Face Lift Marker, 16 cm

Facelift planning is drawn on skin before anything is raised, and once the flap is elevated those lines are the only record of the plan. Marking them with an instrument rather than freehand gives a consistent line width and a consistent transfer, so the mark on one side of the face matches the mark on the other — which is what symmetry in the result actually depends on.

The finish carries as much weight as the shape. A marker is drawn repeatedly across skin that is already prepped, and any roughness scores the surface instead of depositing a line. A smooth, finely finished edge lays the mark down cleanly and lifts away without dragging. At 16 cm the instrument is long enough to draw a continuous line along the jaw or preauricular margin in one movement rather than in segments.
