Cartilage Grasping Forceps – Shark Tooth & Saw Tooth

Cartilage and tendon defeat ordinary forceps. Both are dense, smooth and elastic — a serrated jaw compresses them without engaging, and they spring out of the grip the moment traction is applied. This instrument offers two tooth geometries that solve it differently.

Shark Tooth uses fewer, larger, backward-raked teeth that penetrate the tissue surface and resist pull-out in one direction — the strongest hold, at the cost of leaving puncture marks. Saw Tooth uses a finer continuous tooth line that grips by many shallow engagements rather than a few deep ones, marking the tissue less but holding somewhat less aggressively. The 2 × 6.5 mm bite and two length options cover both nasal cartilage work and deeper orthopedic sites.
