The Bruening Septum Forceps in the 9.0 × 11.0 mm size is the larger of the two patterns NJ Medical supplies. Jaw size on a septum forceps is a direct trade between clearance rate and control near a margin, and this one sits on the clearance side: it removes a deviated bony spur or a section of perpendicular plate in noticeably fewer passes than the 7.0 × 9.0 mm version.
The cupped jaw ends hold bone and cartilage securely while limiting crush damage to any mucosa that comes with the specimen. At 10.8 cm shaft and 18.7 cm overall the instrument suits endoscopic septal work with the handle clear of the scope.
