Facelift Scissors, 18 cm – Curved Serrated, Short Cutting Surface

A short cutting surface on a long instrument is a deliberate pairing. 18 cm of length reaches under a facial flap raised well away from the incision; a short blade keeps each cut small once there. Long blades cut faster but commit the surgeon to a longer line than intended — and under a facelift flap, the plane is thin and the skin above it will show any error.

The curve follows the plane beneath the flap, which is not flat, and serrations on the lower blade hold the mobile tissue that would otherwise be pushed ahead of the cut. Together they give the surgeon short, controlled cuts at a distance from the hand, which is what rhytidectomy dissection asks for.
