The anterior nasal spine sits at the top of the maxilla, and reaching it from an intraoral approach means working the full height of the upper jaw. That is the longest reach in this group of retractors, which is why this pattern matches the 22 cm alveolar retractor rather than the shorter chin and mandibular versions.
At that distance the instrument’s balance decides how it handles. A retractor held at arm’s length through a small opening amplifies every movement of the hand, so weight distributed evenly along the shaft is what lets the blade stay still at depth. It is held in position for long stretches during Le Fort and midface work while osteotomies are cut around it.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this deserved one. Everything from packaging to handling felt premium. Fits perfectly with the rest of our equipment. Already planning another purchase for our team.
